Custom Aluminium Canopy
Our Aluminium Canopies can be fully customised, and this tradesman canopy was built using 3mm aluminium plate and custom fitted to a 12ft Trailer. Reinforced gullwing side and rear access doors were a requirement, because of the harsh road conditions the trailer may encounter.
Aluminium TIG welding was used for most of the aluminium welding. With MIG welding carried out on the inner frames.
We used “Wattyl Macropoxy 250” for the undercoat and “Wattyl Polu-400” paint was used for the topcoat. The colour selected is Flat Black.
In addition we installed quality UES hardware that included compression locks, gas struts and extruded “Centaflex” continuous hinges.
Future improvements include manufacturing and fitting an aluminium Toolbox to each side of the wheel arches for tiedowns & aluminium tool storage. Internal shelving will also be added to the inside of the canopy, similar to what’s found in caravan storage boxes and 4×4 canopies.
Alumunium Boat Refurbishment – Stacer 626
This boat had a complete boat rebuild by us that included hardtop, new dash outboard pod and new bow and hand rails. The boat was built in the late 80’s, so it was no surprise that after an inspection of the hull. We had had to carry out some minor aluminium repairs, and the Aluminium welding method we used for the boat repairs was TIG.
The boat accessories needed extensive aluminium tube and plate bending and in addition new seat boxes, live bait tank and fuel tank were fabricated.
